Nursery...

This is obviously the changing table... The picture above is a painting Brads parents got in Australia. That was Brads favorite place they lived so I decided to hang it here and pulled a shade of blue and green from it to paint other objects in the room.

This is a baby blanket Brads paternal grandmother made before she died. The morning they took her to the hospital they we getting her ready and she told his mom to go over to a cabinet and take this blanket. She said she had made it for the first grandchild. She never came back home. Needless to say this got me a little emotional at the baby shower!

The crib, dresser and shelves. Above the shadow box you can see were there are nails and such.... that is where we are going to hang his name. I tried putting the letters up but they didnt stay so Brad is going to see what he can do. Oh, I also painted the boring white lamp.

The dresser we got from John. It has been in his family for many years but he still said we could paint it, just not sell it! :) So this is where I used the blue and green colors. As well as the shelves above it. They were just plain white but since we cant paint our walls (we rent) I thought the room needed some color!

This is kinda self explainatory. His closet. I know babies need to be changed a lot but even Brads mom looked at all the clothes and couldnt believe it. The whole closet is full as well as the drawers in the dresser are jammed packed. And its all clothes for under 1! Oh well, he will just be REALLY stylish. :)

Okay, these paintings and stuffed animals are all from Panama, where Brad was born. I love the bright colors and detail. So, I thought we would put them up in the room to once again add color!

This is a drawing his Aunt Joyce did many years ago. She is a great and talented artist who has developed MS over the years which has enabled her to continue her passion. She truely is unbelievable. This drawing is done with just pencil, was matted and framed and now is in the baby's room!

This is our carseat/stroller. Dont really know why I am putting it on here besides the fact that I love it! :)

So, looking around the room I think a couple of things. One, wow, nothing really matches! But that doesnt seem to matter much. Cause then I look around again and think, wow, we have so many people that care about us and have contributed to his room. When looking at other websites with nurserys all totaling over $500.00 I cant believe people would actually spend that. Would I if I could, okay yes probably, BUT I love our baby's room because it has little bits of family in it. So what if it doesnt match! The room is eclectic just like Me, Brad and future baby boy! :)

And this is me at exactly 37 weeks! Can he come out now?!
